                                         March Court 1719                                        417 
   wherewith She acknowledges her selfe Content
   Thomas Mercy and Peter Mercy acknowledges themselves indebted to his
   Lord Ship his heirs and Successors in the Sume of five pounds Sterlg-
   Each to be Leveyed on their goods and Chattells Lands and Tenemts.
   Conditionally that if the Said Elizabeth Mercy Shall not appear at
   the next Court and answer unto the afd Indictment found against her
   for Committing adultery with a Certain Robert Brown and that in
   the meantime She is to be of good behavr. and they acknowledge
   themselves therewith Content
   His Ld Ship . | Indictmt found Against him for Committing adultery
           at | with a Certain Elizth. Mercy to which he pleads not
   Robert Brown | guilty &ca. ordered by the Court that he enter into —
   recognizance with Suretys for his appearance to next Court to answer
   the Same
      Robert Brown afd here present in Court comes and acknowledges
   himselfe indebted to his Lord Ship his heirs and Successors in the
   Sume of Tenn pounds Sterlg to be Leveyed on his goods and Chattells
   Lands and Tenements Conditionally that if he do not make his
   personall appearance at the next Court to be held for Said County
   and that in the mean time he is to be of good behaviour And that
   he is to answer unto the afd Indictment wherewith he acknowledges
   himselfe Content
      John Brown & Peter Mercy of Kent County Planters acknowledges –
   themselves indebted to his Lord Ship his heirs and Successors in the
   Sume of five pounds Sterlg Each to be Leveyed on their goods and —
   Chattells Lands and Tenements Conditionally that if the afd Robert
   Brown Shall not appear at the next Court to be held for Said County
   and to answer unto the Said Indictment found against him for Comitting
   adultery with a Certain Elizabeth Mercy and that in the mean time he is
   to be of good behavr. wherewith they acknowledge themselves Content ——
   D:M: His Ld Ship | Recognize. taken at last Court for his apce. to this Court & to
                  at | answer unto what Should be objected agst. him on his Lord
       George Gleaves   | Ships behalfe the afd George aprs. at Court to the Same


Recognizance ordered by the Court here that his Recognize
   and his Suretys recognizance for his appce. as afd be Entrd discharged &ca.
    George Gleaves afd at the Same time afd Entered into Recognizance in
   the Sume of fifteen pounds Sterlg to be Leveyed on his goods and Chattells
   Lands and Tenements Conditionally that if he did not make his personall
   appearance at this Court and to answer unto what Should be objected
   against him on his Lord Ships behalfe and that in the mean time
