    394                                March Court 1719
   Leafe Tobacco Clear of trash in good Cask of the afd value of Nine
   pounds Sterling money Convenient in Kent County afd when there:
   :unto Required Yet the afd Deft altho’ often required the afd Sume
   of Nine hundred pounds of Tobacco to the afd Plt hath not paid
   But that to him to render or pay he the Said Deft hath altogether
   denied & Still doth denie and unjustly detaine to the damage
   of the afd Plt. tenn pounds of like money afd and thereupon
   he brings Sute &ca.
                                              Bowne pr Querr Plds Jno Doe & Rd Roe
   whereupon at the Prayer of the Plt by his Attry the Deft
   is adjudged to give Special baile to the Accon afd and that the
   Sherf of Said County keep the Sd Deft in Safe Custody untill
   he Shall give Special baile Thereupon Ebinezr Blackiston of
   Said County present here in Court undertakes for the afd Christopher
   Knight that in Case the Said Henry Boudy Shall recover Judgmt.
   in the Plea afd agst. the Said Christopher Knight and that he the
   Said Christopher Knight Shall be therein Convict that then he the
   Said Christopher Knight Shall pay the Condemnation of the Court
   thereupon or render his body to the Custody of the Sherf of Said County
   in Satisfaccõn thereof or that the Said Ebenezr. Blackiston sh
   will do it for him
   and now at this Court to wit the 15th day of March Anno Domi 1719
   the afd Deft comes and defends the force and injury when &ca. And
   Says that he cannot gainsay the Plt his accon afd So as afd agst him
   brought nor can he Say but that the Said Plt ought to Recover his
   debt by Occation of the premises afd with Cost of Suite which the
   Said Plt does not gainsay Therefore it is Considered by the Justices
   here the 15th day of March Anno Domi 1719 afd That the Said Henry
   Bowdy Recover against the Said Christopher Knight as well the
   Sume of Nine hundred pounds of Tobacco his Debt afd in forme
   afd Confessed as also the Sume of Two hundred Seventy Nine
   pounds of Tobacco by the Court here adjudged to him for his Costs
   and Charge about his Suite in this behalfe laid out and expended
   and the Deft in mercy &ca.

   Henry Lowe Esqr | This being an accõn of Debt for the Sume of two Thousand
             at | three hundred twenty Eight pounds of Tobacco Commenced by
   Nathl. Pearce | the Plt agst. the Said Deft and wherein there Issued —
