   day and year afd bound himselfe his heirs Executors Admrs. & assignes to
   pay or cause to be paid unto the afd Plt the afd full Sume of Six hundred
   pounds of good Sound Marchantable leafe Tobacco Cleare of Trash and
   ground leaves of the afd value of Six pounds Sterling money at or upon
   the tenth day of October next ensuing the date of the Said bill obligatory
   Nevertheless the afd Deft altho’ often required vizt: the Nineth day of
   November in ye Year afd at ye Parish County & Jurisdiciõn afd the afd full
   Sume of Six hundred pounds of Sound Marchantable leafe Tobacco Cleare
   of Trash and ground leaves he hath not rendered nor paid but that to
   him to render or pay hitherto hath denied and Still doth deny & unjustly
   detains to the damage of him the Said Plt twelve pounds Sterling money
   & thereupon he brings Sute &ca
                                                      D Macbride pr Querr Plds Jno Doe & Rd Roe
   and now here at this Court to wit the 15th day of March Anno Domi 1719
   comes the afd Deft and defends the force and injury when &ca. And Says
   that he cannot gainsay the Plt his accõn afd So as afd agst. him
   brought nor can he Say but that the Said Plt ought to Recover his
   Debt by Occation of the premises afd with Cost of Sute which the Said
   Plt. does not gainsay Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here
   the 15th day of March Anno Domi 1719 afd That the Said Edward —
   Brooks Recover against the Said John Jones as well the Sume of Six
   hundred pounds of Tobacco his Debt afd In forme afd Confessed as also
   the Sume of Two hundred forty two pounds of Tobacco by the Court here
   adjudged to him for his Costs and charges about his Suite in this behalfe
   laid out and expended and the Deft in mercy &ca

           at | wherein the Sherf of Kent County to whom the writ in

John Ashmore    | the Same accon was directed makes return thereof to
   the Court here on the Third tuesday in March to wit the 15th day of the Same
   Month Anno Domi 1719 the day of return of Sd writ Endorst Cepi Corpus pr me
   Simon Wilmer Sherf And There Being Proclamation made three times
   for the Said Deft to make his appearance according to the return of the
   afd Sherf on the writ afd But the Said Deft makes default Thereupon
   Simon Wilmer Sherf of Said County is Amerct. the Sume of three Shills.
   and four pence Currant money of this Province
   Nathl. Hynson | This being an accon of Trespass on the Case Commenced
        —— | by the Plt. agst. the Deft And wherein a Copy of the Decln
           at |       in the Sd Accõn
   Murtough Mahoney | Issued ^ with the writ wherein the Sherf of Kent


County to whom the writ in the Same accon was directed
