                                    March Court 1719                                        377  
   of ground leaves and trash in Casque of the afd Value of fifteen pounds
   Sterling money Convenient in the Said County when thereunto he Should
   be required yet the afd Deft altho’ often required the afd Sume of fifteen
   hundred pounds of Tobacco to the Said Plt hath not paid but that to
   him to render or pay the Said Deft hitherto hath denied and Still
   doth denie and unjustly detaine to the damage of the Said Plt twenty
   pounds Sterling money and thereupon he brings Sute &ca
                                                   TBowne pr Querr plds. Jno Doe & Rd Roe
   and now at this Court to wit the 15th day of March Anno Domi 1719
   the afd Deft here present In his proper person comes and defends –
   the force and Injury when &ca. and Says that he Cannot gainsay the
   Plt. his accõn afd against him brought nor he Can he Say but that
   the Said Plt ought to Recover his debt by Occation of the premises
   afd with Cost of Suite which the Said Plt does not gainsay —–
   Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here viz the 15th day of
   March Anno Domi 1719 afd That the Said John March Recover
   against the Said John Wilson as well the Sume of fifteen hundred
   pounds of Tobacco his debt afd in forme afd Confessed as also the Sume
   of Two hundred Seventy Seven pounds of Tobacco by the Court here
   adjudged to him for his Costs and Charges by him about his Suite in this
   behalf laid out and expended and the Deft in mercy &ca.

         John King   —      | the Sherf of Kent County to whom the writ
   in the Same Accõn was directed makes return thereof on the third
   tuesday in March to wit the 15th day of March Anno Domi 1719
   being the day of return of Said writ Endorst Cepi Corpus pr me
   Simon Wilmer Sherf
   and the Said Deft in his proper person comes and defends the force
   and injury when &ca. And prays leave to imparle hereunto untill
   next Court and he hath it and the Same day is given the Plt also
