352 Novembr Court 1719 And no person Shewing any cause why the Same Should not be discharged This Court here discharges The Same Thomas Winn Senr and John Atwicks both of Kent County Planters at the Same time afd Entered into Recognizance in the Sume of tenn pounds Sterlg Each to be Leveyed &ca. Conditionally that if the afd Joseph Wright Shall not appear and answer as afd And that in the mean time he was to be of good behaviour as afd And no person Shewing any cause why the Said Recognizes Should not be discharged This Court here discharges the Said Recognizances each of them
and Nineteen at Chester hundred in the Said County and within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court with force and Arms &ca. The Tobacco house of a Certain Richard Davise then and there did enter and the quantity of one hundred pounds of Tobacco of the value of twenty Shillings Sterling the Goods & Chattells of the Said Richard Davise then and there being found then and there feloniously did Steale take & bear away against the Peace of our Said Lord Propry his Rule & dignity and against the forme of an Act of Assembly in this Province now in force in Such Case made & provided &ca. D Macbride Pr Dño Proprie Evidences Richd Davise Michl Hackett on the back of the preceeding Indictment was Endorsed as folls vizt Billa Vera pr Francis Barney foreman and the afd Joseph Wright in his proper person comes and defends the force and injury when &ca. And Says that he is not guilty of the premises as afd and for tryal puts himself on the Country and thereupon the Same is Continued untill next Court Att which Said next Court to wit the 18th day of August Anno Domi 1719 came the afd Lord Propry by his Clarke of Indictments afd and the Said Deft afd And the afd Cause is Continued untill next Court att which Said next Court to wit the 19th day of Novembr Anno Domi 1719 And the afd Joseph Wright comes againe as also the afd Lord Propry by his Clarke of Indictments afd And the afd Joseph Wright as before comes and Defends the force and injury when &ca. And Says he is not in any ways guilty of feloniously Stealing the afd one hundred pounds of Tobacco as he Stands Indicted and for tryal puts himselfe on the |
