                                    Novembr Court 1719                                            353
   the Country ————
   and he who follows for the Lord Proprietarie Says the afd prsoner
   Joseph Wright is guilty ——————
      Thereupon Command is given to the Sherf of Kent County that he
   Immediately cause to come here twelve &ca. By whom &ca. who neither &ca.
   To Recognize &ca. Because as well &ca. of which Said Precept the Said Sherf now
   here at this day to wit the 19th day of Novembr Anno Domi 1719 makes –
   returne that he hath here ready twelve &ca. As by his presept he was
   Commanded And now here afterwards to wit the day of Year last mention:
   :ed Comes again as well the Said Lord Proprietarie by his Clarke of Indictmts
   afd as also the Said Joseph Wright and Stands at the barr and the
   Jurors of that Jury being Impannelled who being Called Likewise came
   to wit John Ellis William Jones Charles Greendige Joseph Everit John
   Cleaver John Ward John King Arthr Foreman William Spearman
   William Simcocks Nehemiah Powell Samuel Clarke who being
   duely Elected tryd & Sworn to Say the truth in the premises upon
   their Oath do Say that the Said Joseph Wright prisoner at the barr
   is not guilty as he Stands Indicted   the Said Joseph prays Judgment on
   the Verdict afd Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here
   the 19th day of Novembr Anno Domi 1719 afd That the afd Joseph
   Wright as to the afd Indictment go thereof without day and that he
   be therefrom acquitted But that the Said Joseph Wright pay the
   Sume of Fifteen hundred fifty one pounds of Tobacco by the Court
   here adjudged to him for his Costs and Charges accruing on the premises
   afd to the officers of this Court
    ordered by the Court here That the Sherf of Kent County keep the Said Joseph
   Wright in Safe Custody untill the fees afd Amounting to fifteen hundred
   fifty one pounds Tobacco he Shall Satisfie
   Thereupon Thomas Winn Senr and Benjamin Griffiths both of Kent
                          here present in Court in their proper persons
   County Planters^ And Says that they will pay the fees afd for the
   afd Joseph Wright amounting to the Sume of Fifteen hundred fifty
   one pounds Tobo. to whom the Same is due ——
   Joseph Read an Evide. for the afd Joseph Wright in the afd Cause proves
   he attended this Court five days as an Evide in the Same cause ordered by
   the Court here That Joseph Wright afd Pay unto the afd Joseph Read the Sume
   of one hundred & fifty pounds of Tobacco —–
   Francis Read an Evide for ye afd Joseph Wright in the afd Cause proves he attended this
   Court five days as an Evide in the Same cause ordered by the Court here that Joseph
   Wright afd Pay unto the afd Francis Read the Sume of one hundred and fifty pds
