    348                                  Novembr Court 1719
   and the afd Deft in his proper person comes and defends the force and
   injury when &ca. And Says that he cannot the Plt his accon afd So as
   afd against him brought nor can he Say but that the writing obligatory
   above mentioned is his Act and deed and that the Said Plt ought to
   recover his debt by Occation of the Premises afd and Costs of Suite agst
   him which the Said Plt does not gainsay Therefore it is Considered
   by the Justices here the 19th day of Novembr Anno Domi 1719 That the
   Said John Moll recover against the Said George Gleaves as well the
   Sume of Eight Pounds five Shills and two pence Currant money his Debt
   afd in forme afd Confessed as also the Sume of Three hundred and fifty
   pounds of Tobacco By the Court here adjudged to him for his Costs and
   Charges by him about his Suite in this behalfe laid out and expended
   and the Deft in mercy &ca

   His Ld Ship – | The Said Antho at last Court entered into Recoge
          at | for his appearance to this Court And now at
   Antho Debruler | this Court in his proper person appears to Same

ordered by the Court here that his recognize be
   discharged and also his Suretys recognize for his appearance be discharged
    Antho Debruler afd his recognize taken as afd in the Sume of tenn
   pounds Sterlg to be Levey’d &ca. Conditionally that if he did not make his
   personall appearance at this present Court and to answer unto a Certain
   Indictment found against him for Committing fornication and in the
   mean time to be of good behaviour And now at this Court no person
   Shewing any cause why the Same Recognize Should not be discharged This
   Court here discharges the Same —
   Gideon Pearce and Thomas Thackston at the Same time afd Enter’d
   into Recognize in the Sume of five pounds Sterlg each to be Leveyed &ca.
   Conditionally that if the afd Anthony Debruler Shall not appear and
   answer as afd And that in the mean time to be of good behaviour And
   now at this Court no person Shewing any cause why the Said Recognize
   Should not be discharged This Court here discharges the Same Recognize
   each of them
   Kent County Ss The Jurors of the Honble the Lord Proprietarie and the body

of Kent County on their Oath do present that Anthony Debruler

late of South Sassafras lower hundred in the Said County
   Planter the first day of July in the Year of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven
   hundred and Eighteen at South Sassafras Lower hundred in the Said County &
   within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court the fear of God before his eyes not having
   but by the Instigation of the Devill being led did Committ fornication with
