   twenty third day of May in the Year afd at the Parish County and Jurisdicion afd and –
   often afterwards by the Said Plt was thereunto required but that to him to pay
   or Content hitherto hath refused and Still doth refuse to the Damage of
   him the Said Plt one Thousand and twelve pounds of Merchantable —
   Tobacco and thereupon he brings Sute &ca.                                Jno Doe

   and now at this Court to wit the 19th day of November Anno
   Domi 1719 the afd Deft here present in Court in his proper person comes
   and defends the force and Injury when &ca. And Says that he Cannot
   gainsay the Plt his Accõn afd So as afd agst him brought nor can
   he Say but that the Said Plt ought to Recover his debt by occation
   of the premises afd and Cost of Suite against him which the Said Plt
   does not gainsay Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here
   to wit the 19th day of November Anno Domi 1719 afd That the Said
   Robert Cuningham Recover against the Said Charles Stewart as
   well the Sume of Five hundred and Six pounds of Tobacco his —
   Debt afd in forme afd Confessed as also the Sume of two hundred
   Eighty Six pounds of Tobacco by the Court here adjudged to him
   for his Costs and Charges by him about his Suite in this behalfe
   laid out and Expended and the Deft in mercy &ca

   Francis & Simon | This being an Accõn of Trespass on the Case —
   Hyrons —    | Commenced by the Plt against the Siad Deft
             at | wherein the Sherf of Kent County to whom the writ
   John Jones — | in the Same accõn was directed makes return to

the Court here on the third tuesday in November to
   wit the 17th day of the Same month Anno Domi 1719 Endorst Cepi Corpus
                                                                            pr Simon Wilmer Sherf.
   and a Decln being fild in Said Accon and Copy thereof Served With the
   writ &ca. which folls vizt. Kent County in Maryland Ss John Jones of Kent
   County planter als Dicts John Jones of Morgans Creek In Kent County
   of the provnse of Maryland Planter was Summoned to Answer unto
   Franses Herons & Simon of A plea that he render them ye Just Sum
   of Three pounds twelfe Shillings and tenn pence Current money of
   ye Govrment of Pensilvania which to them he oweth and unjust:
   =ly detaineth &ca— and whereupon the afd Plts by David —
   Macbride their attry Saith that whereas the afd Deft the thirteenth
   day of May in the Year of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven hundred
   and Seven at Shrewsbury Parish in Kent County and within the
