                                           August Court 1719                                        303 
   afd tenth day of 8ber. to wit the tenth day of 9ber. in the year afd in the parish
   County & Jurisdiciõn afd was by the Said Plt Thereunto required but that to pay
   the Said Deft hitherto denys & Yet denies and unjustly detains to the damage
   of the Said Plt twelve pounds Sterling money and thereupon he brings Sute
   &ca.                           TBowne pr Querr plds John Doe Richd Roe
   Whereupon at the Prayer of the Plt by his attry the Deft is adjudged
   to give Special baile to the Accon afd And that the Sherf of Said County
   keep the Said Deft in Safe Custody untill he Shall give Special as afd Thereupon
   Owen Macgrauf of Kent County Planter present here in Court undertake for the Said
   Robert Brown that in Case the Said Philip Kennard Shall Recover Judgmt.
   in the Plea afd against the Said Robert Browne or that he the Said Robert
   Browne Shall be therein Convict that then he the Said Robert Browne —
   Shall pay the Condemnation of the Court thereupon or Render his body to the
   Custody of the Sherf of Said County in Satisfaciõn thereof or that the Said Owen
   Macgrauf will do it for him
                And now at this Court to wit this 19th day of August Anno Domi
   1719 here present comes & defends the force and injury when &ca. And Says —
   that he Cannot gainsay the Plt his accõn afd So as afd against him brought
   nor can he Say but that the Said Plt ought to Recover his debt by Occation
   of the premises afd to the Sume of Six hundred and five pounds of Tobacco
   and Cost of Suite against him which the Said Plt does not gainsay Therefore
   it is Considered by the Justices here the 19th day of August Anno Domi —
   1719 afd his Debt afd in forme afd Confessed as also the Sume of Two hundred
   & Eighty Eightfivepounds of Tobacco by the Court here adjudged to him for his Costs
   and Charges by him abt. his Suite in this behalf laid out and expended and
   the Deft in mercy &ca ———
