   M:H: John Moll | This being an Accõn of Debt for the Sume of thirteen pounds

     ——— | Currant money Commenced by the Plt against the Deft And the

        at | Sherf of Said County to whom the Same was directed makes return to

Nathll. Pearce | the Court here vizt. the third tuesday in August being the 18th day

of the Same month Anno Domi 1719 being the day of return of
   Said writ Endorsed Cepi Corpus pr Simon Wilmer Sherf. And Copy of Decln Dd.
   Kent County in Maryland Ss Nathaniel Pearce of Kentt County Planter als Dicts. Nathll.
   Pearce of Kent County Planter was Summooned to answer unto John Mill of a plea
   that he render unto him the full & Just Sume of Thirteen Pounds Current Silver
   moneys of Maryld. which to him he oweth and unjustly detains &ca. And Whereupon
   the afd Plt by Michael Howard his attry Saith for that whereas the afd Deft vizt. the
   twenty Sixth day of March in the year of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven hundred
   and Eighteen at St. Pauls Parish in Kent County afd & within the Jurisdiciõn of this
   Court by his Certain writing obligatory which he the Said Deft Sealed with his Seale
   and As his deed delivered hereinto Court brought whose date is the Same day and
   year abovementioned bound himself his heirs Execrs. and Admrs. to pay or cause to
   be paid unto John Moll of the Same County his heires Execrs. Administrrs. or assigns the
   full & just Sume of thirteen pounds Current Silvr. moneys of Maryld at or upon the
   tenth day of March next Ensuing the date above mentioned Nevetheless the afd
   Deft altho’ often required viz. the tenth day of May in the year of our Lord Christ
   one Thousand Seven hundred and Nineteen at St. Pauls Parish in the County afd
   and within the Jurisdiciõn afd and often afterwards the afd full & Just Sume
   of thirteen pounds Current Silvr. moneys of Maryland afd to the Said Plt hath
   not rendered nor paid but that to him to render or pay hitherto hath denyed
   & Still doth deny and unjustly detains to the damage of him the Said Plt twenty
   Six pounds Current money as afd & thereupon he brings Sute &ca.

   And now at this Court vizt this 19th day of August Anno Domi 1719 Here present the
   afd Deft in his proper person comes and defends the force and injury when &ca. and Says
   he cannot gainsay the Plt his accõn afd So as afd against him brought nor can he Say but
   that the Said Plt ought to Recover his debt by Occation of the premises afd and Costs
   of Sute against him which the Said Plt does not gainsay : Therefore it is Considered
   by the Justices here the 19th day of August of August Anno Domi 1719 aff That the afd John
   Moll Recover against the Said Nathaniel Pearce as well the Sume of Thirteen pounds
   Current Silver moneys his debt afd in forme afd Confessed as also the Sume of Three
   hundred thirty one pounds of Tobacco by the Court here adjudged him for his Costs &
   Charges by him about his Sute in this behalf laid out and Expended and the
   Deft in mercy &ca ——
