                                           March Court 1717                                       29  
   And the afd Elizabeth in her proper person appeared to the afd Indictment~
   ordered by the Court here that the Said Elizabeth prove who was the
   person that Committed fornication with her as afd layd denys to prove
   the Same But Saith that She Cannot gainsay but that She is guilty
   of the fornication layd in the afd Indictment and Submits to the Court on—
   the Same. Therefore it is Considered by the Court here vizt. this —
   Twentieth day of March Anno Domini One Thousand Seven——
   hundred and Seventeen That the afd Elizabeth Dawson Receive on
   her bare back Twenty one lashes punishment for Committing the
   offence of fornication afd as also pay the Cost to the officers of this
   Court on the premises being three hundred & two pounds of Tobacco
   It is Likewise Considered by the Court here vizt. the Same day last
   mentioned That the Sherf of Said County Execute the Judgment afd
   and then to bring the Said Elizabeth Dawson in to Court againe
   After which the Same day last mentioned came the Sherf of Sd
   County and with the body of the afd Elizabeth Dawson and made~
   return of his precept against her Endorsed as folls viz. Executed .

    ordered by the Court here that the Said Elizabeth Dawson be
   delivered to the Sherf or Court at the Expiration of her time to pay
   ye fees the County pays for her being three hundred and three
   pounds of Tobacco

           at | to this Court   The afd Cornelius in his proper person
   Cornelius Dee | appears to the Same Recognizance   ordered by the .

Court here that the Said Cornelius and his Sureties be


discharged from their Recognizance also .
   Cornelius Dee afd at the Court afd mentioned Entered into Recognizance
   in the Sume of Twenty pounds Sterlg. to be Leveyed &ca. Conditionally that he was
   to be of good behaviour to all &ca. but Especially to Colo Nathl Hynson and
   now at this Court no perosn Shewing any cause why the Said Recognizance
   Should not be discharged this Court here discharges the Same
      Daniel Flinn & Benjamin Griffith at the Same Court afd Entered into
   Recognizance in the Sume of Tenn pounds Sterling Each for the appearce
   and Good behaviour as afd. And no person Shewing any cause why the Sd
   Recognizances Should not be discharged This Court here discharges .
