   that in the mean time he is to be of good behaviour wherewith they

   Philp Jones – | present that Philip Jones late of Langfords Bay upper

hundred in the Said County the Sixteenth day of June
   in the year of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven hundred and Nineteen at
   Langfords bay upper hundred in the Said County & within the Jurisdiciõn
   of this Court hath frequently turned to Common Labour at the Ax or hoe
   a Certain orphan boy Called John Hearn bound to him the Said Philip Jones
   before the Said time by the Said County Court to Learn the trade of a Taylor
   neglecting to teach the Said orphan his trade of a Taylor afd to the great
   abuse of the Said orphan and against the peace of our Said Lord propry.
   his Rule and dignity and against the forme of an Act of Assembly of~
   this Province now in force in Such Case made & provided

    on the back of the preceeding bill was Endorsed as folls viz Billa Vera
    pr Ffrancis Barney foreman—
      and the afd Philip in his proper person appears to the Same And Saith
   that he Cannot gainsay but that he hath put the afd orphan to the Ax &
   hoe instead of his Learning the trade afd And Submits to the Court on the
   Same Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here this 18th day of June
   Anno Domi 1719 That the afd Philip Jones for the offence afd in Condemned to
   pay and Satisfie to the afd John Hearn the Sume of two hundred pounds of
   Tobacco and also the Sume of one hundred Sixty two pounds of Tobacco
   by the Court here adjudged Cost ariseing on the premises afd to the officers of
   this Court &ca.

   afd and within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court the fear of God before her eyes
   not having but by the Instigation of the devill being Led did Committ forni:

   her self to be begott with Child to the High displeasure of Almighty God
