                  at | proprietarie & the body of Kent County afd on their Oath do
      Mary King — | prsent that Mary King late of Swan Creek hundred in the
      —————— | County afd the first day of August in the Year of our Lord


one Thousand Seven hundred & Seventeen at Swan Creek
      Hundred in the County afd & within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court & at divers other
      days & times as well before as after the fear of God before her Eyes not having
      but by the Instigation of the devill did Commit fornication with a Certain——
      person to the Jurors unknown to the high displeasure of Almighty God the
      evill & pernicious example of others & against the forme of an Act of Assembly
      of this Province now in force in Such Cases made & provided Johnson pr Dño prpr.
      on the back of the preceeding Indictmt. was Endorsed as folls vizt. True Bill
      pr John Evans foreman——   And A veniry Issued to cause the afd Mary
      to apr. to Answer the Indictment afd. And The afd Mary in her
      proper person aprd to the afd Indictment~ And this Court orders that~
      She prove who was the person that Committed fornication with her
      but She denys And the Said Mary Saith that She Cannot deny but that
      She is guilty of what is layd in the afd Indictment~ and Submits to the Court
      on Same       Therefore it is Considered by the Court here vizt. this Twentieth
      day of March Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and Seven :
     :teen That the afd Mary King have on her bare back Twenty one lashes
      on her bare back And pay the ffees accruing on the premises to the officers
      of this Court
      It is likewise Considered by the Court here viz the Same day last~
      mentioned That the Sherf of Said County Execute the Judgment and —
      then return the Said precept with the body of the Said Mary
        And the Sherf. of Said County came the Same day last mentioned with—
      the body of the Said Mary and returnd as folls vizt. Executed pr Simon Wilmer Shr.
      ordered by the Court here That the Said Mary be kept in Custody by the Sherf of Sd
      County untill She Shall pays the fees on the premises afd
