220 March Court 1718 Plt then and there last mentioned faithfully promised that he the Said Deft the afd Sume~ of Sixty pounds of Merchantable Tobacco unto the Said Plt when thereunto required would well and truly pay and Content And that whereas also the — afd Deft afterwards vizt. the third day of Janry in the Year of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven hundred and Thirteen at the Parish County and – Jurisdiciõn afd was Indebted unto the afd Plt in the Sume of two hundred and Seventy pounds of Merchantable Tobacco for three Leveys of three— Taxables then and there last mentioned due from the Said Deft to the Said Plt the Same Plt then and there last mentioned being Sherf of~ Kent County afd and So thereof being Indebted the afd Deft In Consideration Thereof afterward vizt. the third day of Janry in the Year of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven hundred and Thirteen at the Parish County and Jurisdiciõn afd upon himself assumed and to the Said Plt. then and there last mentioned faithfully Promised that he the Said Deft. the afd Sume of two hundred and Seventy pounds of Merchantable Tobacco unto the Said Plt when thereunto – required would well and truly pay & Content And that Whereas also the afd Deft. afterwards vizt. the third day of January in the year of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven hundred and Thirteen at the — Parish County and Jurisdiciõn afd was Indebted unto the afd Plt in the Sume of two hundred and Seventy two pounds of Merchantable Tobacco for the like Sume of Tobacco by the afd Deft of the afd Plt to the use of the Said Plt before that time in the parish at the County and & Jurisdiciõn afd had and received and So thereof being Indebted the afd Deft In Consideration thereof afterwards vizt. the afd third day of January in the Year of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven hundred and Thirteen at the Parish County and Jurisdiciõn afd upon himself assumed and to the Said Plt then and there last mentioned faithfully Promised that he the Said Deft the afd Sume of two hundred and Seventy two pounds of Merchantable Tobacco unto the Said Plt when thereunto required would well and truly Pay and Content — Nevertheless the afd Deft his Severall promises and assumptions afd in form afd made as to the afd Severall Sumes of Tobacco which in the whole amounts unto the Sume of Elven hundred pounds of Tobacco he hath not minded nor in any wise kept but altho’ he the Said Deft hath paid and Satisfied to him the said Plt to the value of three hundred pounds of Tobacco of the afd Sume of Eleven hundred pounds of Tobacco part Yet the afd Deft. his Promises and assumptions afd as to the Sume of Eight hundred pounds of Tobacco of the afd Sume of Eleven hundred pounds of Tobacco residue little regarding but plotting and fraudulently Intending – him the Said Plt. of the afd Sume of Eight hundred pounds of Tobacco Craftily to deceive and defraud the Sume of Eight hundred pounds of Tobacco the — Same Deft to him the Said Plt hath not paid nor made Content for the Same— altho to pay the Same he the Said Deft afterwards vizt. the twenty Second day of November in the Year of our Lord Christ Seventeen hundred and fourteen at the Parish County and Jurisdiciõn afd was thereunto required But he the Same Deft the |
