   and thereupon the Said Accõn was Continued untill the then next Court
    Att which Said next Court vizt. this Twenty first day of November Annoq
   Domini one Thousand Seven hundred and Eighteen Came the afd Plt by
   Thomas Bowne his attry and the afd Deft by Michl Howard his attry
   And the afd Deft by his afd attry withdraws his plea afd And the afd
   Deft comes into Court and Saith that he cannot gainsay the Accõn afd of
   him the Said plt. nor but that he is indebted the afd Sume of Two Thousand
   four hundred and forty nine pounds Tobacco And Saith that he is willing that
   Judgment Should be entered against him generally and Cost thereon accruing
   Therefore it is Considered by the Court here vizt. The Same day Year last
   mentioned That the afd Plt William Rock do recover against the Said Deft
   William Woodland as well the afd Sume of Two Thousand four hundred
   and forty nine pounds of Tobacco Damages as also the Sume of Six —
   hundred forty pounds of Tobacco Cost by the afd Plt about his Sute in this
   behalfe Expended and by the Court here of his assent adjudged and the
   Said Deft in mercy &ca.

   John March | Commanded it was to the Sherf of Kent County
               at | the Twenty Second day of August in the fourth Year
   James Watson | of his Lord Ships Dominion &ca. That he take

James Watson of Kent County Planter if he Should be
   found in his Bailywick and him Safe keep So that he have his body before
   his Said Lord Ships Justices of the peace for Said County at a Court to be held
   for Said County at the Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County to
   Answer unto John March of a plea of Trespass upon the Case and that he
   have then and there the Said writ &ca —————
   Att which Said next Court vizt. the Eighteenth day of November the Same
   Year last mentioned the day of return of Said writ came Simon Wilmer
   Gent. high Sherf of Said County and made return thereof in these words
   thereon Endorsed as folls vizt. Cepi Corpus pr   Simon Wilmer Sherf
   and a Declaration being fild in Said Accõn which folls vizt. Kent County Ss James
   Watson of Kent County was Summoned to answer unto John March of a plea of
   Trespass upon the Case &ca. and whereupon the afd Plt by Thomas Bowne
   his attry Complains that whereas the afd Deft the twenty nineth day of 10.ber in
   the Year of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven hundred and Sixteen at St. Pauls
   Parish in Kent County within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court was Indebted to the
   Said Plt in the Sume of Six hundred pounds of Merchantable Tobacco for
   Medicines Sold & delivered and So thereof being Indebted the afd Deft afterwds
   vizt. the Twenty Nineth day of 10ber: in the Year afd at the Parish County and —
   Jurisdiciõn afd in Consideration thereof upon himselfe assumed and to the Said
   Plt then and there last mentioned faithfully promised that he the Said Deft
   the afd Sume of Six hundred pounds of Merchantable Tobacco to the Same
   Plt when thereunto required would well and truly pay and Content Yet the
   afd Deft altho? often required the afd Six hundred pounds of Tobacco to
   the Said Plt hath not paid but that to him to render or pay the Said
