154 November Court 1718 the publick whyping Post and there to receive as in the Judgment afd and then to brought unto Court After which the Same day last mentioned came the Said Sherrife and made return of his Said precept in these words thereon endorsed as folls vizt. in all things Served and Executed pr Simon Wilmer Sherf ordered that William Brown Master of the afd James Dill prove if he was his Servt. at the time of begitting the afd Child on which the afd Wm. Brown having taken his oath on the Holy Evangelists Saith that the afd James Dill was his Servt. Some time in August 1717 untill Some time in November following in which^timethe afd Child was begatt prays an allowance for trouble charge Lying Inn and Loss time and disgrace of the house ordered that as it appears the begitter was a Servant that the afd Eliz.a Serve at the Expiration of her time of Service to her then Master Two months it being the half of what is thought Sufficient. ordered to be delivered at the Expiration of her time ordered by the Court here that there by allowed to Peter Green in the Laying the Levy this Court hour hundred pounds of Tobacco for the keeping the afd Child to this time ordered by the Court here that there be allowed to Peter Green in the Laying the Levy at November Court next The Sume of Ninety pounds of Tobacco pr month the Ensuing Year for the keeping the afd Child if Should live otherwise Equivolent Jams Smith Clk
be of good behaviour James Dill afd acknowledges himself indebted to his Lord Ship his heires & Successors in the Sume of ffifteen pounds Sterling to be Leveyed on his goods and Chattells Lands and Tenements Conditionally that if he do not make his personall appearance at the next Court to be held for Said County to answer unto a Certain Indictment found against him for Commiting fornication with a Certain Elizabeth Lock and in the mean time to be of good behaviour wherewith he acknowledges himself Content William Brown of Said County comes into Court and acknowledges himself Indebted to his Lord Ship his heires and Successors in the Sume of fifteen pounds Sterling to be Leveyed on his goods and Chattells Lands and Tenements Conditionally That if the afd James Dill Shall not appeare |
