   into Recognizance in the Sume of Ffive pounds Sterling each to be Leveyd &ca
   Conditionally that if the afd Hance Hanson did not appear as afd and that he
   was to be of good behaviour as afd This Court here discharges the Same Recognizances
   each of them
   The Lord propry . | Recognizance taken at last Court for his appce. to this

William Woodland afd his Recognizance taken as afd in
   the Sume of five pounds Sterling to be Leveyed &ca. Conditionally That if he did not
   appear at this Court and to Answer unto a Certain bill found by the orphan
   Jury for not performing as he ought to a certain apprentis undr his Care This Court
   here discharges the Same Recognizance
   The Lord propry — | — Kent County Ss The orphan Jury for the Honble. The
                  at | Lord proprietor & ye body of Kent County on their Oath do prsent
   William Woodland | That William Woodland late of Worton Hundred in the County afd

Labourer the first day of March in the Year of our Lord one
   Thousand Seven Hundred & fourteen at St. pauls Parish in the County afd & within the Jurisdiciõn
   of this Court being by vertue of a certain Indenture then & now in force possessd of a Certain Orphan
   Boy named James Duerty to keep & maintain the Said orphan boy after the manner of
   an apprentis from the date in the Sd Indenture Specified & above menconed for & untill the Said orphan
   Should arrive to the age of twenty one Years in which Said Term & Space last—
   mentioned the Said William the Said Orphan boy Should teach or procure to be
   taught in the art or Mistery of a Carpenter as also to learn to write a legible —
   hand & to teach Arethmetick as farr as the rule of Three & Should keep the afd
   orphan boy to ye trade afd for & during the Said Term or Space in the Said Indenture
   mentioned for the time of Servitude and not to turn or oblige the Said orphan boy
   to work or labour at any other Employment then in the Said Indenture mencõned
   Yet the Said William Woodland the Said Orphan boy hath not taught his —
   trade nor kept him to write nor taught him Arethmetick but at St. Pauls.
   Parish in the County afd & within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court hath turned &
   kept ye Said Orphan boy to other work & labour then menconed in the Said -
   Indenture to ye great damage of the Said James Duerty against the peace of our
   Said Lord propr. his Rule & dignity & against an Act of Assembly of this province
   now in force in Such Case made & provided &ca.   Johnson pr Dno pr proprietr.
   on the back of the preceeding bill was Endorsed as folls vizt Billa vera pr
   Abram: Redgrave foreman—
    and the afd William Woodland in his proper person appeared to the afd
   Indictment And pleads Not guilty and for tryall puts himselfe on God & the Country
                                                                                      Wm Woodland in pr prson
    and now at this Court viz the Twenty first day of August Annoque Domini
   one Thousand Seven hundred and Eighteen Came The afd William Woodland and
