   a fire facias against the goods and Chattells of the afd Daniel Pearce and Thomas
   Cooke as well for the Sume of Thirty pounds Currant money the Debt in the Sire facias
   afd mentioned as also the Sume of four hundred and forty five pounds of Tobacco Co[st]
   in the Sire facias afd mentioned as also the Sume of four hundred and thirty —
   Eight pounds of Tobacco Cost by the afd Plt about his Sute in this behalfe——
   Expended and by the Court here of his assent adjudged &ca —

   Benjamin Griffiths | Commanded it was to the Sherf of Kent
              ——— | County the Twenty Second day of August in
                 at | the Second Year of his Lord Ships Dominion
   Richard Smithers | &ca. That he take Richard Smithers of Kent
   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | County Gent if he Should be found in his
   Bailywick & him Safe keep So that he have his body before his Said Lord
   Ships Justices of our next County Court to be held at our Court house in the Town
   of Chester in Said County to Answer unto Benjamin Griffiths of a plea of
   Trespass upon ye Case   And that he have then and there the Said writ &ca. —
        Att which Said next Court vizt. the Nineteenth day of November the
   Same Year last mentioned the day of return of Said writ Came Simon
   Wilmer Gent high Sherf of Said County and made return thereof in these
   words thereon Endorsed as folls vizt Cepi Corpus pr S:Wilmer Sherf
      and the afd Deft by John Johnson his attry appeared to the above Accõn
   and prayd liberty thereof to imparle thereto & to answer at next Court which
   was granted the Same day was given the Plt. in like manner also
      Att which Said next Court vizt. the Eighteenth day of March the Same
      Att which Said next Court vizt. the Seventeenth day of June Anno Domi
   one Thousand Seven hundred and Eighteen Came the afd Plt by Thomas —
   Bowne his attry and the afd Deft by John Johnson his attry and the afd Plt
   by his afd attry declares as folls vizt. Kent County Ss Richard Smithers of Kent County
   Gentleman Stands attached to answer unto Benjamin Griffiths of a plea of Trespass
   of the Case and Whereupon the afd Plt. by Thomas Bowne his attry Complains that
   Whereas the Nineteenth day of March in the year of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven hundred and
   Sixteen of Chester Town in Kent County afd in the Court held for the Said County before —
   Nathaniel Hynson and his associates then Justices of the Right Honourable the Lord
   proprietor for the Said County Court a Certain Sute then and there depending between the
   Said Benjamin then Plt and the Said Richard then Deft of an Concerning Divers —
   Quantities of Tobacco by Account Amounting unto the Sume of Two Thousand five
   hundred and Eighty pounds of Tobacco then & there due from the Said Richard to the Said
   Benjamin the Said Richard then & there In Consideration that the Said Benjamin would
   at his the Said Richards Speciall Instance and request cause the Said Accõn then and
   their in the Said Court undermined to be in the Records of the Said Court Entered
