    and the afd Deft. by Thomas Bowne and John Johnson his attrys comes and
   defends the force and Injury &ca. And Saveing to himselfe all manner of advantage
   and Exceptions as well to the writ afd as to the Declaration of the afd Plts prays
   liberty to imparle thereto and to answer at next Court which is granted the Same

Pearce and Thomas Cooke otherwise called Daniel
   Pearce and Thomas Cooke of Sd County late in the Court of our late Lady
   Queen Anne here that is to Say the fifth day of Aprill Anno Domini
   one Thousand Seven hundred and Eleven in the tenth year of the
   Reign of her Said late Majestie Queen Anne of Great Brittaine before
   Col William Pearce and his associates then Justices of our Said Late Lady
   the Queen of her Said Court for the Said County of Kent here that is to Say
   at Court in the Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County prSent
   in the Said Court in there proper person assumed upon themselves
   that if it Should happen that a Certain Christopher Philipson Should
   be Cast or Judgment against the Said Christopher Philipson Should be
   given at the Sute of a Certain Jedidiah Andrews in a plea of Debt .
   of thirty pounds Currant Silver money of Pensilvania (that is to
   Say at the value and rate as at that time was by Act or otherwise
   Estabilished commonly Called and known by the name of new Currancy)
   then in the Said Court before the Said Justices depending hen the afd —
   Daniel Pearce and Thomas Cooke did undertake for the Said Christophr
   Philipson the payment of the debt & Costs if it Should happen
   that the Said Jedidiah Should Obtain Judgment against the Said ——
   Christopher in the Said Accon of Debt and the Said Christopher ye Condem:
  :nation Should not Satisfie nor himselfe to the Custody of the Sherf of
   Said County deliver or that the Said Daniel and Thomas the body of
   the Said Christopher Should not render &ca which certain Sume
