   keep So that he have his body before his Said Lord Ships Justices of the next Court to be
   held at our Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto John
   Ward of a plea that he Render unto the Said John Ward Six pds twelve Shillings &
   four pence Currt. money which to him he oweth and unjustly detains &ca. And —
   that he have then & there the Said writ &ca. .    Att which Said next Court vizt.
   the Nineteenth day of August the Same year last mentioned the day of return
   of Said writ came Simon Wilmer Gent. high Sherf of Said County & made return
   thereof in these words thereon Endorsed as folls vizt. Cepi Corpus pr S:Wilmer Sherf
   Michael Howard attry for the Plt. prays that he may be taken as Securty
   for the afd Plt. for that the Same plt. is not an Inhabitant of this County which
   was granted And the Same Michl. Howard comes into Court and acknowledges
   himselfe as Security for the afd plt. that if the Said Deft Shall appeare
   to the afd Accõn and the plt Shall be cast in the Same then the afd
   Michl. Howard will pay the Deft afd his Cost if the Plt doth not pay it—
   himselfe . . And the afd Plt. by his afd attry prays that the afd Deft may—
   give Special baile to the afd Accõn which was granted   Thomas Bowne
   of Said County comes into Court and acknowledges himselfe as Speciall baile
   in the afd Accõn and doth undertake the payment of the debt afd and Cost
   thereon accruing if the Deft afd Shall be cast in the Same and the Condem:
  :nation Shall not Satisfie nor himselfe to the Custody of the Sherf of Said
   County deliver or that the afd Thomas Bowne the body of the afd Deft—.
   Shall not render &ca.
   And the afd Deft by Thomas Bowne his attry Comes and defends the
   force and injury &ca. And Saveing to himselfe all manner of Exceptions
   and advantages as well to the writ afd as to the Decln of the afd Plt Pray
   liberty thereof to imparle thereto and to Answer at next Court which is —
   granted the Same day is given the Plt in like manner
   Daniel Dullahuntee | Dt. 494 l tobo writ returned Cepi Plea in abatemt put in
                at | but afterward withdrawn   And the afd Deft by Thomas
   George Sanders — | Bowne his attry comes and defends the force & injury


&ca. And Saveing to himselfe all manner of advantages &
   Exceptions as well to the writ as to the Decln of the afd Plt. prays liberty thereof to
   imparle thereto and to Answer at next Court which is granted the Same day is
   given the Plt. in like manner ———
   Philemon Hemsley | Commanded it was to the Sherf of Kent County the
                at | nineteenth day of June in the fourth year of his Lord —
   Richard Cole .  .  .  | Ships Dominion &ca. That he take Richard Cole of


Kent County planter if he Should be found in his —
   Bailywick & him Safe keep So that he have his body before his Said Lord
   Ships Justices of the next Court to be held at our Court house in the Town of—
   Chester in Said County to Anser unto Phillemon Hemsley of a plea of Trespass
   upon the Case And that he have then and there the Said writ &ca. Att—
