   106                                       August Court 1718
   the afd Degt the payment of the Debt afd & Cost thereon accruing if the Said
   Deft Shall be Cast in the Same and the Condemnation Shall not Satisfie nor
   himself to the Custody of the Sherf of Said County deliver or that the afd Thomas
   Bowne the body of the afd Deft Shall not render &ca
   And the afd Deft by Thomas Bowne his attry Comes & defends the force &
   injury & Saving to himself all manner of Exceptions as well to the writ
   afd as to the decln of the afd plt prays liberty thereof to imparle thereto & to
   Answer at next Court which is granted the Same day is given the Plt in
   like manner
   John Johnson & Isabella | Commanded it was to the Sherf of Kent County
   his wife Admr Willm Blay — | the Nineteenth day of June in the fourth year of
                  at | his Lord Ships Dominion &ca. That he take
   William Haults -         | William Halls late of Kent County Carpenter als .


Dict William Hallts of Kent County Carpenter if he
   Should be found in his Bailywick & him Safe keep So that he have his body
   before his Said Lord Ships Justices of the next Court to be held at our Court house
   in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto John Johnson & Isabella
   his wife Admix of all & Singular the goods & Chattells Rights & Creditts wch were
   of William Blay her husband dececd of a plea yt he hold Covenant made with
   ye Sd Wm Blay in his life time according to ye tenor force & Effect of a Certain
   writing or deed pole made to ye Said Wm Blay and that he have then &
   there the Said writ &ca.    .    .    Att which Said next Court vizt. the nineteenth
   came Simon Wilmer Gent. high Sherf of Said County & made return
   thereof in these words thereon Endorsed as folls vizt Cepi Corpus pr S:Wilmer Sher
   and the afd Deft. being called came And the afd Plts by Thomas Bowne
   there attry Prays that the afd Deft may give Special baile to the afd Accõn
   which is granted And that he be kept in Safe Custody by the Sherf of Said County
   untill he Shall give Special baile as afd . After which Philip Kennard junr. & John
   Johnson Planter both of Said County comes into Court and they and either of them
   Acknowledges themselves Speciall baile in the afd Accõ and they and either of them
   take upon themselves the payment of the Damages in the Accõn afd & Cost thereon
   accruing if the Deft afd Shall be Cast in the Same And the Condemnation Shall not
   Satisfie nor himselfe to the Custody of the Sherf of Said County deliver or that the
   afd Philip Kennard and John Johnson or either of them the body of the afd Deft
   Shall not Render &ca ——
    and the afd Deft by Michael Howard his attry. appears to the above accõn
   and prays Liberty thereof to imparle thereto & to Answer at next Court which is
   granted the Same day is given the plts in like manner —————

   William Francis | he take William Francis of Kent County Carpender otherwise called
