or administrators forever that the said servant Mary Ann was
born in the year eighteen hundred and fifty to servitude for the term of
thirty years in vertue of a deed of Manumission of one Elijah Pennington
deceased formerly of Anne Arundel County dated the 21 March 1825
and recorded in Liber Manumission C No 3 one of the Record Books
in the office of the Clerks of the Circuit Court of the said County of
Anne Arundel County   And that the said servant Mary Ann is the
daughter of one mulatto woman named Caroline who was the daughter
of the negro woman named Caroline who was the daughter of the
Christina in the said deed named and now a free colored woman
residing in the city of Annapolis in the said County commonly
called Chrissy (and who is also the party grantee in this deed) who
by purchase of the said Pennington personal representatives became the
servant of the late George Mackubin aforesaid for nearly eighteen years
ended the 21 March 1843 and whom the said deed then and thenceforth
manumitted and in the language thereof "her increase both male and
female and their increase forever when they severally attain the age of
thirty years  In testimony whereof the said Eleanor Mackubin and
the said Christina have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and
year first hereinbefore written

At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit  Anne Arundel County
Be it remembered that on this sixth day of December 1854 personally appear
Eleanor Mackubin and Christina Robangs colored woman parties
to the above instrument of writing before us me the subscriber a justice of the
peace of the state of Maryland for the said County and acknowledged the
same to be their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned
