63 to the aforegoing deed of manumission and doth acknowledge the said Indenture or Instrument of writing to be his act and deed In testimony whereof I ^we^ have hereunto subscribed our names in the day and year aforesaid John Spears Co 75cts Moses Donaldson paid Recorded the 29.th day of October 1850
divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of the sum of one dollar current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free my negro woman named "Flora" being of the age of twenty eight years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and her the said negro woman Flora and her increase I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of service or servitude to me my Executors or Administrators forever. Provided nevertheless and it is hereby declared to be the true intent and meaning of this Instrument of Writing that said manumission and release from slavery shall take place from and after the time of my death and not before.
