62 Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro woman named Rachael Thompson and her infant child Joshua she being of the age of thirty two six and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and her the said negro woman Rachael Thompson and her infant child Joshua I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of service or servitude to me my executors or Administrators forever. In witness whereof I have hereunto affixed my hand and seal this twenty first day of May one thousand eight hundred and fifty Signed sealed Amelia M Disney (seal) and delivered in presence of John Spears Moses Donaldon State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sct Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on this twenty first day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty before the subscribers two Justices of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for Anne Arundel County aforesaid personally appears Amelia M. Disney she being known to me to be the person who is named and described as and professing to be a party |
