Deed of Manumission from
Elizabeth Pindell
         to
Negro Afred
 To all whom it
may concern be it
known that I
Elizabeth Pindell
of Anne Arundel
County in the State of Maryland for divers
good causes and considerations me thereunto
moving have released from slavery liberated
manumitted and set free and by these
presents do hereby release from slavery liberate
manumit and set free my negro boy
named Alfred he being of the age of six years
thewtieth day of July last so soon as he
shall arrive at the age of twenty one
years and the said negro boy named
Alfred I do declare to be from thenceforth free
manumitted and discharged from
all manner of service or servitude to me
my executors or administrators forever
In witness whereof I the said Elizabeth
Pindell have this seventeenth day of
November Anno Domini one thousand
eight hundred and forty nine
set my hand and affixed my seal
Signed and sealed   Elizabeth G. Pindell  (seal)
in the presence of
