241 Before me appeared this day Alethea Robinson and acknowledged the above deed of Manumission and Release of Service to be his free act and deed U S Intl Reve 5c Stamp Dorsey Jacob J P D J Mar 12th 1865 A. A Co Recorded 10th day of October 1865 Deed of Manumission and Release of Service Whereas my slave George Kelly had enlisted in the service of the United States now in consideration thereof I Stephen Lark of Anne Arundel County State of Maryland do hereby in consideration of said enlistment manumit set free and release the above named George Kelly from all service due me his freedom to commence from the 31.st day of March 1864 the date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the thirty ninth Regiment of Colored Troops in the service of the United States Witness my hand and seal this fourteenth day of September 1865 Witness Dorsey Jacob Stephen Lark (seal) William S Armiger William H Heath Anne Arundel County State of Maryland Sep 14.th 1865 Before me appeared this day Stephen Lark and acknowledged the above deed of Manumission and Release of Service to be his free act and deed U S Int Reve 5c Dorsey Jacob J Peace Stamp D.
