and Alethea Robinson and each acknowledged
the above deed of manumission and Release of
Service to be their free act and deed

       Deed of Manumission and Release of Service
Whereas my slave Isaac Turner has enlisted
in the service of the United States now in
consideration thereof I Alethea Robinson of
Anne Arundel County State of Maryland do
hereby in consideration of said enlistment
manumit set free and release the above named
Isaac Turner from all service due me his freedom
to commence from the 27 March 1864 the date of
his enlistment as aforesaid in the 39.th Regiment
of Colored Troops in the service of the United States
       Witness my hand and seal this twelfth day of
September 1865
