192 E Deed of Manumission and Release of Service Whereas My slave William Pointer has enlisted in the service of the united states Now in Consideration thereof I Susan Rawlings of anne arundel County State of Maryland do hereby in consideration of said enlistment Manumit set free and release the above named William Pointer from all service due me his freedom to commence from the 25 February 1864 the date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the 30 Regiment of Colored Troops in the service of the united states Witness My hand and Seal this 16 day of September 1864 Witness Susanna Rawlings Wm R Thompson Rich Thompson Senr Anne arundel County State of Maryland 1864 Before me appeared this day Susanna U S Internal Rawlings and acknowledged the above Deed Revenue Stamp of Manumission and Release of Service to be her 5 Cents W R T free act and deed Sep 16 1864 Wm R Thompson J P Recorded the 16 day of September 1864 E Deed of Manumission and Release of Service Whereas my slave William Boyd has enlisted in the service of the united states Now in Consideration thereof I Frederick Cowman of Anne arundel County State of Maryland do hereby in Consideration of said enlistment Manumit Set free and release the above named William Boyd from all service due me his freedom to Commence from the twenty fourth day of February Eighteen hundred & sixty four the date of her enlistment as aforesaid in the |
