18 described as and professing to be the party to the within deed of manumission and doth acknowledge the said Indenture or instrument of writing to be her act and deed. divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have released from Slavery manumitted and set free my slaves the following negroes being capable of labour to procure for themselves sufficient food and raiment with other necessaries of life to wit Sharlot aged thirty five years Julia and Ruth aged three years twin daughters of the above named Sharlott to serve their mother untill they arrive at the age of sixteen years Hesther Lane aged thirty years Ruth aged twenty eight years Richard aged six years Priscilla aged four years and Charles aged two months children of the above named Ruth to serve their mother the males untill they arrive at the age of twenty one years and |
