164 E Deed of Manumission and Release of Service Whereas My slave George Bard has enlisted in the Service of the united states Now in consideration thereof I Wm F Anderson of anne arundel County state of Maryland do hereby in Consideration of said enlistment Manumit set free and release the above named George Bard from all service due me his freedom to Commence from the the date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the Regiment of Colored Troops in the service of the united states Witness My hand and seal this 27 day of april 1864 Wm F anderson (seal) Witness Owen M Taylor Chas N A Whiteford C C Gevell Anne arundel county state of maryland ap 27 1864 U S Internal Before me appeared this day Wm F anderson Revenue stamp and acknowledged the above Deed of Manumission 5 Cents 27 ap and Release of Service to be his freed act and deed 1864 Owen M Taylor J P Recorded the 27 april 1864 E Deed of Manumission and Release of service Whereas my Slave John H Boston has enlisted in the service of the united states Now in Consideration thereof I Ann Lamden of Anne arundel County state of Maryland do hereby in Consideration of said enlistment Manumit Set free and release the above named John H Boston from all service due me: his freedom to commence from the first day of March 1864 the date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the 30 Regiment of Colored Troops in the service of the united states Witness my hand and Seal this 25 day of april 1864 |
