5 Cents ap 25        day of april 1864 Ann Lamden and acknowledged
       1864               the above Deed of Manumission and Release of
    A L                    Service to be her free act and deed

    Deed of Manumission and Release of Service
                   Whereas My slave Charles Seroy   has enlisted
in the service of the united states      Now in Consideration
thereof I George Wells of anne arundel County state of
Maryland do hereby in consideration of said enlistment
Manumit set free and release the above named Charles Seroy
from all service due me his freedom to Commence from the 24 day
of February 1864 the date of his enlistment as aforesaid
in the 30 Regiment of Colored Troops in the Service of the
United States
          Witness My hand and Seal this 28 day of apl 1864
