Revenue Stamp      acknowledged the above Deed of Manumission
5 Cents                  and Release of Service to be his act and deed

Recorded the 11 day of aprl 1864

    Deed of Manumission & Release of Service
                   Whereas my slave Charles Kahn or Cam
has enlisted in the service of the united states now in
Consideration thereof I Edwin W Duvall of anne
arundel County State of Maryland do hereby in
Consideration of said enlistment manumit set free
and release the above named Charles Kahn or Came
from all service due me his freedom to Commence from
the                                       the date of his enlistment
as aforesaid in the                Regiment of Colored Troops
in the Service of the United States
             Witness my hand & seal this seventh day of
April 1864
