156 U States Int Before me appeared this day James Boyle and Revenue Stamp acknowledged the above Deed of Manumission 5 Cents and Release of Service to be his act and deed O M T Aprl Owen M Taylor Justice of the Peace 7 1864 Recorded the 11 day of aprl 1864 E Deed of Manumission & Release of Service Whereas my slave Charles Kahn or Cam has enlisted in the service of the united states now in Consideration thereof I Edwin W Duvall of anne arundel County State of Maryland do hereby in Consideration of said enlistment manumit set free and release the above named Charles Kahn or Came from all service due me his freedom to Commence from the the date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the Regiment of Colored Troops in the Service of the United States Witness my hand & seal this seventh day of April 1864 Witness Edwin W Duvall Seal Owen M Taylor Wm Brewer Anne arundel County State of Maryland 1864 April 7th U States Before me appeared this day Edwin W Int Revenue Duvall and acknowledged the above Deed Stamp of Manumission and Release of Service to be 5 Cents his free act and deed 7 ap 1864 Owen M Taylor J P O M T Recorded the 12 day of April 1864 E Deed of Manumission and Release of Service Whereas My slave Charles Carpenter or Cabbington |
