156 30 Regiment of Colored Troops in the service of the United States Witness My hand and Seal this Eleventh day of April 1864 Witness John H Hyde (seal) Owen M Taylor J W Hunter Thos R Gassaway Anne arundel County State of Maryland Ap 11 1864 U States Before me appeared this day John T E Hyde Internal Revenue and acknowledged the above Deed of Stamp 5cts Manumission and Release of Service to be his O M T free act and deed 11 ap 1864 Owen M Taylor Recorded the 11 Ap 1864 E Deed of Manumission and Release of Service Whereas My slave Louis Ennis has enlisted in the service of the united states now in consideration thereof I James Boyle of anne arundel County State of Maryland do hereby in Consideration of said enlistment Manumit set free and release the above named Louis Ennis from all service due me his freedom to commence from the 23 day of March 1864 the date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the 39 Regiment of Colored Troops in the Service of the United States Witness my hand and Seal this 7 day of april 1864 James Boyle (Seal) Witness Owen M Taylor Thos Ireland Wash G Tuck Anne arundel County State of Maryland Aprl 7 1864 |
