155 E Deed of Manumission and Release of Service Whereas my slave William H Brown has enlisted in the service of the united states Now in Consideration thereof I Mary Mullan of Anne arundel County State of Maryland do hereby in Consideration of said enlistment Manumit Set free and release the above named Wm H Brown from all service due me his freedom to commence from the third day of March 1864 the date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the 30 Regiment of Colored Troops in the Service of the United States Witness my hand & seal this sixth day of april 1864 Mary Mullan Witness Owen M Taylor Justice of the Peace Jas Revell John E Stalker Anne arundel County State of Maryland April 6 1864 Before me appeared this day Mary U States Int Mullan and acknowledged the above Deed Revenue Stamp of Manumission and Release of Service to 5 Cents be her free act and deed O M T 6 apl Owen M Taylor J P 1864 Recorded the 9 April 1864 E Deed of Manumission and Release of Service Whereas my Slave Robert Lloyd has enlisted in the Service of the United States now in Consideration thereof I John T E Hyde of Anne arundel County State of Maryland do hereby in Consideration of said enlistment set free and release the above named Robert Lloyd from all service due me his freedom to commence from the 24 day of February 1864 the date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the |
