154 Anne arundel County State of Maryland Aprl 7th 1846 Before me appeared this day Regnal D Woodward and acknowledged the above Deed of Manumission and Release of Service to be his free act and deed U S Int Revenue Owen M Taylor JP Stamp 5 Cents O M T 1 ap 1864 Recorded the 7 day of April 1864 E Deed of Manumission and Release of Service Whereas my slave Solomon Sprigg has enlisted in the service of the United States Now in Consideration thereof I Absalom A Hall of Anne arundel County State of Maryland do hereby in consideration of said enlistment Manumit set free and release the above named Solomon Sprigg from all service due me his freedom to Commence from the 24 day of March 1864 the date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the 39 Regiment of Colored Troops in the service of the united States Witness my hand and seal this Seventh day of april 1864 Absalom A Hall (Seal) Witness Owen M Taylor Justice of the Peace Thomas H Hodges R D Woodward Anne arundel County State of Maryland Apl 7th 1864 Before me appeared this day Absalom A Hall and acknowledged the above Deed of Manumission and Release of Service to be his free act and deed U S Int Revenue Owen M Taylor JP Stamp 5cts O M T 7 ap 1864 Recorded the 7 day of Apl 1864 |
