born in June 1857 to be free on the first of July 1892 negro
boy Howard born in September 1857 to be free on the first
day of October 1892 negro boy George born in april 1859
to be free on the first day of may 1894 negro Girl
Eveline born in October 1859 to be free on the first
day of november 1894 should the said negro girls Ellen
Lottee and Eveline have increase said increase are
to be free at the age of thirty five years   Witness My
hand and seal this 31 day of May 1860

       I hereby Certify that on this 31 day of may 1860
personally appeared before the Subscriber a Justice of
the peace of the state of maryland in and for said County
Henry Joyce and acknowledged the above deed of
Manumission to be his act

I Dorsey Jacob of Anne arundel County
and state of Maryland do hereby manumit and set
free my negro slaves Charles Hester and Margaret as
follows Charles a negro boy born on the 2 day of
September 1847 to be free on the first day of January
Eighteen hundred and Eighty three Negro Girl Hester
born on the 6 day of april 1849 to be free on the first
day of January Eighteen hundred and Eighty four
negro girl Margaret born on the 19th day of December
1857 to be free on the first day of January Eighteen
hundred and Ninety three should Hester and
