personally appeared George T Warfield he being known
by me to be the person who is named and described
as and professing to be the person who is named as
George T Warfield in the foregoing instrument of writing
and acknowledged the said instrument to be his act
and deed      In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and affixed my seal on the day and

Consideration of the sum of two hundred
dollars to us in hand paid by or for Caroline
Wesley a negro woman belonging to us the receipt
whereof is hereby admitted do hereby manumit and
set her free her freedom to take effect as from the
Nineteenth day of January in the year Eighteen
hundred and fifty six
