137 Witness as to Enos Shipley Louisa A Disney (seal) N H Green Wm Glover Philip H Disney (seal) On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of maryland Anne arundel County Sct I hereby Certify that on this twenty fifth day of may in the year Eighteen hundred and sixty before the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland in and for Anne arundel County personally appeared Enos Shipley William Shipley Larkin Shipley Frederick G Harman Peter A. Harman Sarah M Shipley Mary A Shipley Amelia J. Harman Elizabeth L Hammond Louisa A Disney Philip Disney her husband the parties grantors to the aforegoing deed and acknowledged the same to be their act Enos Shipley State of Maryland Anne arundel County Sct I hereby Certify that on this 26 day of may 1869 before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state and County aforesaid personally appeared Enos Shipley and acknowledged the aforegoing Manumission to be her act W.m Glover Recorded the 26 day of may 1860 We the undersigned parties to the aforegoing deed of manumission upon this same twenty fifth day of may in the year Eighteen hundred and sixty but subsequent to the Execution and delivery of the same do hereby sell and despose of the Caroline Westly the party manumitted by said deed her infant child Elizabeth Wesley about sixteen months old for the sum of five dollars the receipt whereof is hereby admitted to hold the said Child or her the said Carolines property until the said Child shall be Capable by labour to provide for itself |
