133 A R Harman Recorded the 6 day of march 1860 This Indenture made this first day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and sixty Witnesseth that I Matthias Linthicum being prompted by motives of Charity and benevolence do Manumit liberate and set free my Negro Slave Henderson Warren aged some 22 years of good moral character and by these presents do release and deliver said slave from all manner of servitude my heirs or assigns for ever In Witness whereof I hereunto affix my hand & seal this first day of May in the year above written Signed Sealed & delivered in the presence of Matthias Linthicum (seal) Wm Glover John Duvall State of Maryland Anne arundel County Sct I hereby Certify that on this 17 day of May 1860 personally appeared before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland man of said County Matthias Linthicum and acknowledged the aforegoing manumission to be his act Acknowledged before W.m Glover paid Recorded the 17 day of May 1860 Ex d d Know all Men by these presents that I Robert Franklin of Anne arundel County in the state of Maryland for divers good Causes me thereunto moving do hereby release from slavery Manumit liberate and set free my negro man John Anderson aged about Thirty three years a slave for live abel to gain a livelihood and support and labour the said John Anderson's freedom to Commence on and after the first day of January Eighteen hundred and Sixty Eight and I do hereby declare him to be free and discharged from all manner of servitude to me my executors and administrators for ever |
