129 I Philip Clayton of Anne arundel County and state of Maryland do hereby manumit and set free my negro slave Joseph Cobington aged fourteen years on the fourteenth day of February next Eighteen hundred and sixty and of very bright Complexion her freedom to Commence from the fourteenth day of February Eighteen hundred and seventy four six Witness my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of Decr Eighteen hundred and fifty nine Test Wm Glover Philip Clayton (seal) Chs Gassaway at the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of maryland Anne arundel County Sc I hereby Certify that on this twenty seventh day of December in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty nine before the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the County and state aforesaid personally appeared Philip Clayton and acknowledged the aforegoing deed to be his act Wm Glover Recorded the 27 December 1859 I Haysel Haynes of anne arundel County and state of maryland do hereby Manumit and set free my negro slaves vizt Adeline Heuynes now allen aged about twenty seven years her freedom to Commence from the date of these presents: and Rachel Ann Allen now aged about four years and William Frances Allen aged two years the freedom of the two last named to Commence when they shall respectively attain the age of Eighteen years and the said last two named Rachel Ann and Wm Frances being the children of Adeline Haynes now allen Conveyed to the said Haysel Haynes by Benjamin Clarke by Bill of sale dated September 1st 1841 and recorded in Liber W S G N 2 folio 140 one |
