123 liberate manumit and set free from and after the fifth day of october which will be in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fifty one one Mulatto Man slave belonging to me and now in my possession by the name of Charles Folks or by whatsoever name he may be called or known being at this time of the age of Eleven years & seven Months and the said mulatto man slave named Charles Folks I do declare to be thenceforth that is to say from and after the said fifth day of October one thousand Eight hundred & fifty free Manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my Executors or administrators and from all manner of claim or right of claim of servitude or service by me my Executors or administrators forever In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this fourteenth day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty nine Signed Sealed & delivered in presence of us Jn.o B.
