121 to be his act and deed Wm Glover Recorded the 24 day of November 1858 I William Brewer of the City of Annapolis and state of maryland do hereby manumit & set free my negro slave woman Nancy Harwood her freedom to Commence from the date of these presents the said Nancy being the same person heretofore manumitted by me to be free on the twenty fourth day of January Eighteen hundred and sixty two by deed of manumission bearing date the twenty fourth day of January Eighteen hundred and fifty four duly Executed & acknowledged & recorded in Liber D N 4 folio 85 one of the Manumission deed books of Anne arundel County Witness my hand and seal this sixteenth day of May Eighteen hundred and fifty nine Test Ellen Gassaway Wm Brewer (Seal) Wm Glover At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of maryland City of Annapolis sct I hereby Certify that on this sixteenth day of may in the year Eighteen hundred & fifty nine before the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland in and for Anne arundel County personally appeared William Brewer the party granter in the foregoing deed & acknowledged the same to be his act Wm Glover Recorded the 16 day of may 1859 To all whom it may concern Be it known that I John B Scott of Anne arundel County in the state of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these Presents do hereby release |
