119 Eight before the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland in and for the County aforesaid personally appeared William H Turton and acknowledged the aforegoing Manumission to be his act W.m Glover Recorded the 30 day of august 1858 I William Pinkney of Prince Georges County and State of maryland do hereby Manumit and set free my negro slave George Kent a mulatto about thirty five years of age his freedom to commence from the date of these presents Witness my hand and seal this Eighth day of November 1858 Interlineation of the words Thirty five made before Execution William Pinkney (seal) Test William Glover J W Hunter At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of maryland anne arundel County sct On this 8 day of november 1858 personally appeared before the subscriber a Justice of the peace of said State and County aforesaid William Pinkney and acknowledged the aforegoing to be her act and deed Wm Glover Recorded the 8 day of November 1858 To all whom it may concern Be it known that I William Brewer of anne arundel County in the state of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these Presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro man named Henry Harwood being of the age of Thirty six years and able to work and gain sufficient livelihood and maintenance (and) |
