84 of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of maryland for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and the several negroes therein mentioned to be henceforth manumitted emancipated and discharged from all services to him his heirs Executors or administrators or any person claiming or pretending to claim under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided paid Acknowledged before P H OReilly Ex.d d.d 4 Recorded the 24th day of august 1818 To all whom it may concern Be it known that I Mary Israel of ann arundel County in maryland for divers good causes & considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do release from slavery liberate manumit & set free the following named negroes from and after the period that they respectively shall arrive to twenty five years of age viz Liley born 15th april 1788 to be free from and after the date hereof Lydia born 6.th December 1801 Henry born 15th march 1806 George born 15th september 1807 Clarrissa born 15th april 1809 Daniel born 20th march 1810 Charles born 10th December 1812 Caroline born 5th april 1816 Robert born 12th June 1818 and I do hereby declare each of the above Eight named negroes to be free from and after the day that each may respectively accomplish their twenty fifth year of age In Testimony I have hereunto (set) |
