80 Henry being under twenty five years of age of a healthy Constitution sound in mind and body and Capable by labour to procure to him sufficient food and raiment with other requisites necessaries of life from and after the 14th day of may in the year Eighteen hundred and thirty three. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 14th day of may 1818 Test Jn.o Gassaway George Watts (seal) James Hunter At the foot of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit Anne Arundel County ss.s Acknowledged before me one of the Justices of the peace in and for the County aforesaid by the within named George Watts as his act and deed this 22d day of July 1818 Ch.d James Hunter 2 Recorded the 22d day of July 1818 To all whom it may concern Be it known that I ann munroe of anne arundle County in the State of maryland for divers good causes and Considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of Forty dollars Current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from from slavery liberate manumit and set free my mulatto woman named Fanny being of the age of thirty seven years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and her the said mulatto woman named Fanny I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude to me (my) |
