75 peace of the State of maryland for the said County and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed for the purposes above mentioned and the negro woman above named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided. Acknowledged before Ch.d James Hunter Ex.d d.d 2¾ Recorded the 27.th day of may 1818 Maryland ss.s To all whom these presents shall come Greeting. I Henry Hammond of anne arundel County in the State aforesaid for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving do hereby declare free manumate and enfranchise the following negroes to wit Alla aged about twenty years to be free on the Eighth day of April 1828 and all her increase that she shall or may have during the time of her servitude to be as follows the male children to be free at the age of thirty years and the female Children to be free at the age of twenty seven years Kitty aged about three years to be free the Eighth day of april 1842 and all the increase that she shall or may have during the time of her servitude, the male children to be free at the age of thirty years and the female children to be free at the age of twenty seven years Isaac aged one year to be free the Eighth day of April 1850. Bill aged about seven years to be free on the twenty fifth day of December 1846 Dick aged about four years to be free on the twenty fifth day of December 1849 Jimmy aged about twenty years to be free on the twenty fifth day (of) |
