621 above mentioned to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my Executors or administrators forever. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of January in the year Eighteen hundred and forty two Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of Saml H Hamilton Alex H Murray Daniel G Weems On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit Recd on the day of the date within mentioned five dollars Current money it being the full Consideration money within mentioned Witness Saml H Hamilton Alexr J Murray Daniel G Weems Anne Arundel County sct Be it remembered That on this twentieth day of January personally appears Alexr J Murray party to within instrument of writing and known to us personally as the Identical person who has signed the foregoing deed of manumission as before us the subscribers Justices of the peace for the State of maryland for the said County and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negro therein named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all service to him or to any person claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the acts of assembly in such cases made and provided Acknowledged before Saml H Hamilton Exd David G Weems 3¼ Recorded the 5 day of February 1842 Know all men by these presents that I Charles Waters of anne arundel County in the State of maryland for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred & twenty |
