601 Act of assembly in such cases made and provided chd Acknowledged before Joseph Sands justice of the peace 3 Recorded the 21st day of june 1839 To all whom it may Concern Be it known That I Job Guest of anne arundel county in the State of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving do from and after the first day of January Eighteen hundred and fifty two release from slavery liberated manumit and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery at and after the period above named liberate and set free my negroe boy named Isaiah being now about fifteen years of age and at the time sound in body and able to work and gain a sufficient maintainance and at which time namely on the first of January Eighteen hundred and fifty two he will be about twenty seven years of age and him the said negroe boy named Isaiah I do declare from the above named period to be manumitted and discharged from all manner of service or servitude to me my Executors or administrators or to any other person claiming under me forever. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this Eighth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of Job Guest (seal) Geo McNeir Jos J Nicholson At the foot of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit Anne Arundel County to wit Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that on this Eighth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty before me a Justice of the peace of The State of maryland for the County |
