6 William aged about ten years to be free and fifteen years from the date hereof; negro mary aged about seven years to be free in Eighteen years from the date hereof; Negro Belinda aged about five years to be free from the date hereof; Negro Eliza aged about three years to be free from the date hereof; Negro Louisa aged about Eighteen months to be free from the date hereof and I do hereby set free and manumit all the Children that may be born of the above named Females Harriot and Mary before the periods of their becoming free the said Children shall be free the males when they shall arrive at the age of Twenty five and the females at the age of Twenty one years and for the full performance of the several articles and stipulations before mentioned and contained I bind myself my heirs Executors and administrators firmly by these presents sealed with my seal and signed and dated this fifteenth day of august one thousand Eight hundred and sixteen Witness Gustavus Warfield Ann Dorsey (seal) Humphrey Dorsey At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit anne arundel County to wit: On the fifteenth day of august one thousand Eight hundred and sixteen came the above named Ann Dorsey before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof Ex.d d.d Gustavus Warfield chd 3 Recorded the 18th day of September 1816 |
