in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred
and thirty nine

    At the foot of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit
       State of Maryland Anne Arundel county  sc
       Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified That
on this Eleventh day of march in the year of our Lord
one thousand Eight hundred and thirty nine before the
subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of maryland
in and for anne arundel county Personally appeared
Thomas Robinson of the county and State afforesaid
and doth acknowledge the said Indenture to be his act and
deed for the purposes therein mentioned   In Testimony
whereof I hereunto subscribe my name on the day and
year afforesaid                     Wm Bryan   J P

       This Agreement made this fourth day of march in
the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred & thirty nine Between
Tho.s B Richardson agent for Isaac Richardson of the
one part and Samuel Price of the other part  Witnesseth
Whereas the said Samuel being now of full age as the
slave of the said Isaac Richardson by and according
to the laws of maryland where he now is and whereas
the said Isaac hath agreed to manumit the said slave
in consideration of his serving him for seven years from
this date as a servant & waiter therefore the said Samuel
for and in consideration of the manumission as herein
after set forth doth Covenant procure & agree to & with
the said Isaac Richardson & his assigns to serve
him & his assigns faithfully as a servant & waiter
& farm hand for the purpose of learning the act
& mystery of servant & waiter & farmer for the term
